The Martin County West football team kicks off a brand new season at home against Windom Area on Friday.
MCW went 1-8 last season and is looking to get back above .500 for the first time since 2022.
Mavericks head coach Tom Elliott says the team returns more experience than last season.
The Eagles collected four wins in each of the past two seasons and took last year’s season opener in Windom.
