Huskies sweep into win column against Coyotes

The Jackson County Central volleyball team broke into the win column on the road against Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda on Tuesday.

The Huskies swept the Coyotes with scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-23 in the games.

Brielle Tufvesson led JCC with nine kills and nine digs plus going 8-of-10 serving with an ace. Zoey Hall and Kinley VanDeVere each had 12 assists and seven digs. Hall added 12-of-13 serving with an ace. Braelyn Boogerd went 15-of-16 from the service line with a pair of aces and had three digs. Lincoln Gorden registered three blocks, four kills, and a pair of digs and assists plus a 5-of-7 night serving.

Paylin Sether had seven digs of her own to go with six kills, four assists, and one block. Mady Wachal went 11-of-13 with a pair of aces plus four kills, two digs, and one block. Paige Benda had five kills, two blocks, and one digs while going 2-of-3 serving with an ace. Aubrey Erickson was 1-of-1 serving. Miley VanDeVere registered one kill.

The 1-1 Huskies visit Redwood Valley next Tuesday.
