(Spirit Lake)– A local judge is getting some special recognition. The Honorable John M. Sandy of Spirit Lake, who serves on the Iowa Court of Appeals, has been named to the 2026 class of the CSG Henry Toll Fellowship.
The Council of State Governments’ selective national leadership program is the nation’s premier leadership development program for state government officials. Each year the fellowship admits just 48 public servants from across all 50 states and U.S. Territories. The 2026 class will convene in Lexington, Kentucky for an intensive five-day program.
Judge Sandy was appointed to the Iowa Court of Appeals in 2024.
