The Jackson County Central softball team is the unanimous top South seed in the Section 3AA Tournament.
The Huskies will host the first round with a bye to the second round.
The South #4 seed Redwood Valley and #5 Minneota/Canby are playing at 4:00 p.m. with the winner advancing to play JCC and the loser eliminated. The Huskies game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. and we will have it on KKOJ.
Pipestone is hosting the other part of the South bracket as the #2 seed. The Arrows play #7 Worthington at 3:00 p.m. followed at 4:30 p.m. by #3 Windom playing #6 Luverne. The winners of those games play each other at 6:00 p.m.
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta is the top North seed awaiting the winner #4 Minnewaska and #5 Litchfield. New London-Spicer is the other Tuesday host on the North side with a game against #7 Montevideo. The North #3 seed Dassel-Cokato gets #4 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City with the first round winners playing each other and the losers eliminated.
The rest of the bracket after the first round is double-elimination and all of the action after Tuesday takes place at Schwan’s Regional Amateur Sports Complex in Marshall.
