Speed Radar Signs To Go Up On 202nd Street Near Lower Gar Park & Trailhead

May 14, 2026

(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council voted 5-0 Wednesday evening to place speed radar signs on portions of 202nd Street within the city’s jurisdiction, meaning pretty much the westbound, or north side, of the road. Milford has jurisdiction over the south half of the road.

The speed limit along all of that road was reduced to 25 mph within the past couple of years, however Arnolds Park City Councilman John Adams, Sr. says he continues to hear concerns from people living in that area…

“They see it on a daily basis that some people just go and they go fast there. We all know, we’re familiar with that area, that there’s a walking trail there and there’s a road there and it’s pretty darn tight if you’re walking with a dog or with kids and so on. We want people to go slow.”

The city council voted Wednesday to allocate roughly $7,000 toward the cost of two signs.
