The Martin County West baseball team lost in Sleepy Eye on Tuesday.
The Indians beat the Mavericks 16-4 in five innings.
Noah Meixell, Brock Jagodzinske, Maddex Faber, and Kade Fennern each scored a run. Fennern, Preston Cepress, Liam Pytleski, Easton Kuehl, and Ian Matejka each had one hit. Kuehl and Michael McCorkell each batted in a run. Kuehl also walked aboard.
Colsan Anderson took the loss on the mound with six runs and four of them earned on five hits with one strikeout in 2.2 innings. Kuehl, Pytleski, and Fennern also pitched for MCW.
The 3-13 Mavericks have lost three straight games and return home to play Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey on Friday.
