TROJANS RALLY PAST HUSKIES AT WACKER FIELD

The Jackson County Central baseball team lost to Worthington at Wacker Field on Monday night.
The Trojans took home a 7-2 win over the Huskies.
Talan Holm tossed eight strikeouts in 5.1 innings. He was charged with all seven Worthington runs with four of them earned plus three walks. Levi Thompson got the final two outs of the sixth and Levi Thompson had a pair of strikeouts in the seventh.
Holm and Carson Kolander each batted in one run. Gage Johnson and Ben Gallagher each hit a single as well. Johnson and Jace Jorgenson each scored once. Jorgenson also drew a walk. Gallagher, Jorgenson, and Kash Gilbert each stole a base.
The 5-11 Huskies have lost six straight games with the three-game homestand wrapping up against Fairmont. The 13-4 Cardinals have won four straight games and beat JCC 10-0 on April 21 at Herb Wolf Field. First pitch is at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Wacker Field.
Huskies Fighting Cancer will be serving a tailgate meal featuring a pulled pork sandwich during the final home game of the regular season.
