In what we saw as the last tune up for the Lakes Conference Meet this Thursday our teams traveled to Storm Lake (who will also be hosting the conference). In what turned out to be a cold and somewhat windy evening our kids competed well. We had many nice PR’s tonight. One big one was a School Record in the Long Jump when Anabel Sinz went 18-3.5 for the gold. Our girls Shuttle also had a nice time despite some wind. Duvall, Elanor, JJ and Leah would win the shuttle in a time of 1:08. Mckenna Beck would throw a nice PR in the shot and break into the 35 foot club. On the Boys side we started out the day with great field event points. Knutson went 51 multiple times in the Shot, Jax and Hickerson scored us nice Discus Points along with Jalas getting ever closer to that 20′ mark in the long jump. Our sprints and distance running events were solid for our boys. We are excited to gear up for the Last Lakes Conference Track meet ever and leave a mark for eternity.
