BRINKMAN, MILLER EACH TAKE NINTH TO LEAD JCC GOLF TEAMS IN BIG SOUTH PLAY

Lily Brinkman and Tavin Miller each finished ninth place to lead the Jackson County Central golf teams in Big South Conference play on Monday.
Brinkman posted a score of 101 on 18 holes at the Redwood Falls Golf Club in a tie for ninth place as the top JCC girls performer.
Mya Mohns shot 109 in a three-way tie for 15th place, Taylor Schultz shot 118 to tie for 22nd place, Alana Kalvoda shot 127 for 30th place, and Adriana Clark shot 143 for 33rd place.
The JCC girls collected 455 as a team to take fifth place. Blue Earth Area posted the best score of 398 in Redwood Falls.
Miller took part in a four-way tie for ninth place with an 18-hole score of 85 featuring an eagle, birdie, and seven pars at Interlaken Golf Club in Fairmont.
Jessy Gentry and Gavin Pohlman each scored 92 as part of a four-way tie for 25th place. Gentry hit a birdie and four pars. Pohlman had six pars on the day. Kyler Thier tied for 34th place with a score of 96 that featured four pars. Berkner shot 97 with five pars for 36th place. Hayden Schultz shot 109 for 39th place.
The JCC boys collected 365 to finish seventh place as a team. Fairmont had the top team score with 330 for the boys.
The Huskies are headed to Worthington for a triangular that also includes Pipestone Area on Tuesday. The first tee time is 4:00 p.m. at Great Life Golf and Fitness.
