LARSON, SMITH LEAD MAVERICKS IN HOME QUAD AT FOX LAKE GOLF CLUB

Knox Larson led the Martin County West boys golf team and Mya Smith led the girls in a home quadrangular on Friday.
Larson posted 41 including four pars on nine holes at Fox Lake Golf Club to finish second place individually.
Carson Scheff scored 47 in sixth place. Tanner Anderson finished with 51 to round out the top ten. Haydn Lillevold shot 52 in 11th place. St. James/Madelia was the top team with a team score of 174 ahead of MCW with 191 and New Ulm Cathedral with 198.
Xzavier Moore posted 55 for 18th place. Jonah Striemer shot 58 as part of a three-way tie for 21st place. Riley Ebeling shot 62 in 26th place, Torrey Paplow shot 65 in 27th place, and Leo Heller shot 66 in 28th place.
Mya Smith posted 55 on nine holes for ninth place.
Clare Paulson finished with 58 in a three-way tie for 11th place, Morgan McCorkell shot 63 for 16th place, Aaliyah Bolstad shot 64 to take 17th place, and Clare Striemer shot 78 in 21st place.
Springfield had the lowest total of 197 ahead of St. James/Madelia with 214, New Ulm Cathedral with 239, and MCW with 240 in the team scores.
The MCW boys are headed to New Ulm Country Club and the girls will be at Oakdale Golf Club in Buffalo Lake on Monday for Tomahawk/Valley Conference play.
