The Jackson County Central baseball team lost in St. James on Friday.
The Saints blanked the Huskies 10-0 in five innings.
St. James Area scored a pair of runs in the first inning, another pair in the second, a trio in the third, one more in the fourth, and another pair in the fifth to walk off the run-rule victory.
Ben Gallagher, Jace Jorgenson, Talan Holm, Kasey Storm, Levi Thompson, and Mason Helmers each hit a single. Holm and Haiden Warmka each drew one walk.
Gallagher started on the mound and surrendered four runs with two of them earned on two hits to go with three strikeouts and two walks in 1.1 innings. Carson Doescher and Joshua Thompson each climbed the hill for 1.2 innings of relief work. Doescher saw three runs scored on two hits plus one strikeout and four walks. Thompson allowed three earned runs on three hits plus one strikeout and one walk.
The 5-7 Huskies return home to Wacker Field against Luverne on Tuesday.
