SAINTS STOP HUSKIES AT WACKER FIELD

The Jackson County Central baseball team ended a three-game homestand with a loss to St. James Area on Thursday.
The Saints blanked the Huskies 4-0 at Wacker Field.
St. James scored once in the first inning, once more in the third, and added the final pair in the seventh.
Talan Holm helped keep the Huskies in it with another complete-game performance featuring six strikeouts and no walks while two of the Saints’ runs were earned on six hits.
Kasey Storm collected a trio of hits for JCC while Ben Gallagher had a double and Carson Kolander hit a single. Jace Jorgenson drew a walk.
The 5-6 Huskies get a chance to turn around the result on Friday in St. James with the first pitch scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Veterans Field.
