MILLER TOPS LEADERBOARD IN WINDOM

Tavin Miller was the top performer for Jackson County Central during a close loss in Windom on Monday.

Miller led the JCC boys on top of the leaderboard with a score of 36 to be even with par on nine holes at Windom Country Club.

Kyler Thier posted 41 to tie for third place and Blayze Hillmer shot 45 in a three-way tie for seventh place. Gavin Pohlman was next in line with 47, Jessy Gentry posted 48, and Linkon Phillips shot 49. Hayden Schultz also had 53 for the Huskies.

The JCC boys lost by one stroke to the Eagles 168-169 in the team scores.

Lily Brinkman had the best JCC girls nine-hole score with 55 and Taylor Schultz finished with 66. Most of the girls were able to play eight holes before being interrupted by severe weather.

The Huskies debut at Valley Brook Golf Course in Lakefield on Tuesday with the first tee time at 4:30 p.m. against Martin County West.
