HUSKIES SINK BUCCANEERS

The Jackson County Central baseball team routed Blue Earth Area in five innings on Tuesday.


The Huskies beat the Buccaneers 20-0 for the run-rule victory.

JCC scored once in the first inning, six runs in the second, four in the third, two in the fourth, and seven in the fifth.

Gage Johnson had a pair of hits including a double, batted in three runs, and scored twice. Ben Gallagher had a pair of hits including a double, 2 RBIs, and scored three runs. Haiden Warmka had three hits, batted in a run, and scored once. Jace Jorgenson brought home a pair of runs and scored twice. Kash Gilbert had a hit, a pair of RBIs, and scored twice. Ryan Fricke scored three times. Holden Stumpf batted in a run and scored once. Carson Doescher, Isaac Hesebeck, and Zachary Dill each scored a run as well.

Talan Holm gave up just two hits and dealt seven strikeouts in four shutout innings. The Huskies ace improved to 2-0 on the season. He also hit a double, plated three runs, and scored once to help the cause. Levi Thompson struck out the side in the fifth.


The 2-0 Huskies visit Maple River on Friday.
