Multiple Arrests Made In NW Iowa Burglary Investigation

(Hull)– Multiple arrests have been made as part of an ongoing investigation into a burglary back in February of this year at a business in Hull. Multiple search warrants were executed by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office resulting in the recovery of stolen property.

34-year-old Jakob Gamboa of Hull are arrested March 1st on charges of theft in the 1st degree, burglary in the 3rd degree and criminal mischief in the 2nd degree.

Deputies say another suspect, 33-year-old Jesse Van Leeuwen of Hull, fled the area and that arrest warrants were issued. During the investigation it was determined Van Leeuwen was allegedly in possession of a stolen vehicle and that 60-year-old Jodi Van Leeuwen of Hull actively assisted Jesse Van Leeuwen in eluding law enforcement.

Jodi Van Leeuwen was arrested Tuesday (March 10th) and was booked into jail on charges of accessory after the fact and possession of marijuana.

Authorities say Jesse Van Leeuwen was taken into custody on Wednesday (March 11th) on charges of theft in the 1st degree, theft in the 2nd degree, criminal mischief in the 2nd degree, burglary in the 3rd degree, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sioux Center Police Department, Rock Valley Police Department, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Spirit Lake, Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments.
