Fairmont and Windom Area will both begin the Section 3A Boys Hockey Tournament at home on Tuesday night.
The 7-13 Cardinals are the #7 seed hosting the #10 seed Worthington. The Trojans are 2-23 overall. Fairmont beat Worthington twice in the regular season. Tuesday’s puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. inside Martin County Arena. The winner visits #2 seed Mankato West on Thursday.
The 8-16-1 Eagles are the #8 seed hosting the #9 seed Redwood Valley. The Cardinals are 6-17 overall. Windom beat RV in two out of three games in the regular season. Tuesday’s puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. inside Windom Arena. The winner visits top-seeded Luverne on Thursday.
The #3 seed Mankato East/Loyola is hosting #6 seed Marshall and the #4 seed Minnesota River is hosting #5 seed New Ulm on Thursday in the quarterfinals. The section semifinals happen on Saturday with the championship next Tuesday in Saint Peter.
