We are seeking to add a Plant Lead to our team on 1st shift in Estherville, IA! We offer a starting wage of $24.68-27.22/Hr. along with opportunities for pay increases. Our complete benefits package includes health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, an impressive 401K match, and much more!

Plant Leads are responsible for operating processes and equipment in a safe, clean and effective manner to ensure the production of high-quality products while meeting all regulatory compliance requirements.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Work safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures and improvement initiatives



Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements including safety, environmental, and food/feed safety



Provide leadership and direction to schedule and monitor the work activities of all assigned employees to successfully accomplish all work assignments in a safe and timely manner



Provide leadership, direct the operation of, and monitor the operation of all material handling, process equipment, and associated equipment in all departments of the complex to maintain safe and efficient operation



Monitor and evaluate incoming raw material for product quality



Monitor and evaluate equipment operation to ensure production of finished product that conforms to required standards



Troubleshoot equipment operation



Assist in coordinating plant maintenance with plant production schedules



Correctly operate, maintain and use equipment and tools required for assigned duties



Operate bobcats, forklifts, and farm tractors



Accurately and legibly record and maintain records



Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent



1-3 months experience and/or training



Must possess or be actively pursuing a Chief Boiler License



Ability to read and interpret safety documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals



Ability to write routine reports and correspondence



Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings



Experience operating a bobcat and forklift preferred



Understand and operate basic computer systems



Lift 30 pounds repeatedly



Occasionally push and/or pull heavy objects



Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. from floor to waist level
