(Undated)– What presently are Kum and Go Stores in Okoboji and Spirit Lake will soon be going under the Mega Saver name.
The Maverik chain of convenience stores announced in April of 2023 it was acquiring the Kum and Go chain. Maverik has since opted to sell off some of the acquired Kum and Go stores to Mega Saver, which operates stores elsewhere in Iowa as well as Nebraska and Florida.
The Okoboji and Spirit Lake City Councils earlier this week approved retail alcohol licenses for Mega Saver.
