Maple tapping season is coming soon! Get hands-on experience at The Maple Method, a live demonstration of maple tapping and the evaporation process. Dickinson County Nature Center’s Environmental Education Coordinator, Danika Cox, will lead this free event, taking place on the
north side of Horseshoe Bend Wildlife area on Saturday, February 22nd, from 9:00 – noon.
This hands-on program will showcase the traditional process of making maple syrup, from tapping trees to boiling sap. Visitors will have the chance to watch a live demonstration, learn about the history of maple syrup, and even sample sap and syrup.
“This is a great opportunity for people of all ages to connect with nature and learn about a timeless tradition,” says Amy Heibult, community relations coordinator for the Dickinson County
Conservation Board.
Those interested can register for free by 5:00 PM on February 20th. Save your spot by visiting
