Dickinson County Nature Center – HOMESCHOOL ED-VENTURES

Learn about the evidence animals leave behind during the winter at Homeschool Ed ventures. This free program offered by the Dickinson County Nature Center provides science and environmental education support to children ages 5-12.

Kicking off 2025, we are increasing the Homeschool Ed-ventures session time by a half hour, running from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Our theme on Thursday, January 16th, is “Poo-dunit,” where attendees will discover tracks and signs left behind by animals in Iowa. Ed-venturers will also look at the differences between carnivores and herbivores, hike around Kenue Park to look for active animals and clues, and make replicas of animal clues during the indoor lesson time.
