Knights of Columbus to Hold Spelling Bee – Grade 4-7

Tuesday, January 21, 2024 – Free on-site registration requiring a parent’s signature will be available – Okoboji Middle School

Area boys and girls in grades 4, 5, 6 and 7 are welcome to compete in the 2025 Knights of Columbus Spelling Bee. Iowa Great Lakes Council 5043 is sponsoring the always-entertaining contest, and this time will combine it with the Milford Council and have it at Okoboji Middle School Tuesday, January 21. Free on-site registration – requiring a parent’s signature – will be available.

The first and second place spellers and an alternate in each grade will then be eligible to compete in the Regional Spelling Bee. The first and second place contestants in the regional competition may advance to the state spelling bee in Ames.

Students can prepare for the competition by accessing the spelling lists at httpsww.iowakofc.org/spellingbee and choosing their grade list. Students from other area school districts are invited to participate.
