Friday, January 3, 2025 – 9:00am-3:00pm – Dickinson Co. Nature Center
Are you looking for a safe and interactive place for your child when they don’t have school? The Dickinson County Nature Center is offering No School Day Camp: PJs vs. Predators for children in kindergarten through third grade on Friday, January 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., held in Maser Monarch Lodge.
Come dressed cozy in pajamas but pack the winter gear for outdoor exploration in the prairie. Learn about birds of prey and other Iowa predators while exploring their adaptations. Play predator prey tag on the Nature Playscape, learn about predator adaptions, and discover the species of predators found here in Kenue Park.
“What better way for kids to enjoy a day off from school than in a safe and enriching space,” said Amy Heibult, community relations coordinator. “Understandably, not everyone can take a day off of work to stay home with their young ones, and we are excited to offer these camps to the community.”
The Nature Center will provide two snacks throughout the day, but please pack a sack lunch and a refillable water bottle for each child.
The cost is 15 dollars per child. Register online for this camp by 5:00 p.m. on December 31st by visiting www.dickinsoncountynaturecenter.com. Stay tuned for future No School Day Camps, including
January 20th (4th-8th grade), March 17th (K-3rd grade), and April 18th (4th-8th grade).
