Grandparents Day!

Grandchildren are one of life’s most significant legacies, and your family tree is something to be celebrated! On Saturday, November 16th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., celebrate Grandparents Day: A Tree-rific Day in Kenue Park.
At Maser Monarch Lodge, Dickinson County Nature Center staff will provide a soup and sandwich meal to enjoy with your grandchildren, and there will be ongoing activities and crafts throughout the event.
Build crafts like an acorn catapult or use natural tree products to assemble a tree face. Adventure outside on a short, guided hike around the forested area near the lodge to learn about animals that live in the forest. Work on tree activity sheets together and make some fond memories
with family.
“Just as grandkids represent the branches of the family tree, the attendees will be exploring all about our local trees,” said Britney Snell, naturalist for the Dickinson County Conservation Board. “Kenue Park features an oak savannah, which ties in nicely to our Tree-terrific theme,” Snell said.

A preregistration fee of $5 per person will include the meal and activities. Please preregister
