Kenue Coffee Hour at Dickinson County Nature Center

Red or white? Join Dickinson County Nature Center for Kenue Coffee Hour on Thursday, June 6th at 10:30 a.m. Our speakers will be the owners of Little Swan Lake Winery, who will speak about their wine-making journey. 

Little Swan Lake Winery is not your ordinary local business as they manage a herd of bison that graze on the property. 

Environmental Education Coordinator Danika Cox said, “Bison are a part of Iowa history and helped shape the landscape before European settlers arrived. I think it is important to learn about these animals from those that are carrying on Iowa’s history.”

Cox hopes that Kenue Coffee Hour brings about awareness of businesses in the area. “My hope is to bring attention to a small, local business.”
