The St. Joseph Arts Council is pleased to announce upcoming concert with Glenn Hendriksen and Father Paul Kelly

The St. Joseph Arts Council is pleased to announce our upcoming concert with Glenn Hendriksen and Father Paul Kelly on Sunday, June 2, 2024, 4:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1305 Okoboji Ave, Milford Iowa. Father Kelly and Glenn will share their musical gifts in a array of musical instruments and favorite selections. Doors will open at 3:30. This is a free concert, a Free Well Donation will be accepted. A “Welcome to Summer Sundae” reception will follow the concert in the Parish Center.

Father Kelly and Glenn Hendriksen, both Northwest Iowans are multi-talented musicians.

Glenn, an Armstrong, Iowa resident, is an accomplished pianist and organist. Henriksen began piano lessons at age 7, at 13 he was his hometown church’s organist and attended Luther College receiving further musical instruction. Glenn plays in a wide variety of events, concerts, church services, and other social activities. He is a member of the variety rock band Galaxy. Glenn’s lifetime experience in many musical genres has enabled him to develop a unique musical style, resulting in one-of-kind improvised arrangements.

Father Paul Kelly is well known in Northwest Iowa. He recently celebrated 41 years as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church, serving the Diocese of Sioux City. Father Kelly is the pastor of Palo Alton and Emmet counties and previously served at St. Mary’s in Spirit Lake. Father Kelly is a native of Marathon, he attended Iowa State and St. Paul Seminary. Bagpipes, tin whistle, guitar, banjo and trombone are Father Kelly’s musical areas of expertise. Glenn and Father Kelly perform at church and events around the area.
