Online Safety and Social Media: Sexting and Sextortion at Spencer City Council Chambers – Youth are among the vulnerable populations at risk of being victimized by cyber-related crimes. Sextortion is when someone threatens to distribute your private and sensitive material if you don’t provide them images of a sexual nature, sexual favors, or money. Learn about sexting and sextortion from a panel of experts including The Clay County Attorney, Shared Hope International, Family Crisis Center and CAASA. How to prevent it from happening, who to talk to if you are a victim, and the laws involved will all be discussed. Held at City Council Chambers – City Hall. This program is best suited for Adults, Teens and Tweens.
