More Snow, Cold To Impact Region

January 18, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– More winter weather is headed our way. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for today (Thurs.) for all of northwest Iowa, including the Iowa Great Lakes. Forecasters say as much as three inches of new snow could fall on the region. That will be followed by another blast of arctic air Friday and Saturday. Overnight lows by Saturday morning could once again approach 20 degrees below zero with highs around zero. Some potentially dangerous wind chills will return as well.

Warmer temperatures are expected next week with highs in the 30’s.
