(Lakefield, Mn.)– A motorcycle crash on the west edge of Lakefield has claimed a life. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene on Okabena Road early Sunday morning.
Deputies say 42-year-old Keith Chaffey of Lakefield had been operating a 2019 Indian Motorcycle when it left the roadway and collided with an anhydrous ammonia tank. Chaffey was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe the crash took place late Saturday night or early Sunday.
The Lakefield ambulance, Lakefield Fire Department and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted on the scene.
