(Hawarden)– A collision Friday evening in Sioux county involving an S-U-V and a semi claimed a life.
The Iowa State Patrol says 84-year-old Diane O’Regan of Rock Valley was driving a 2006 Jeep Commander southbound on Eagle Avenue. Troopers say the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a northbound 2005 Peterbilt semi driven by 50-year-old Daniel Van Driel of Freeman, South Dakota. O’Regan was taken by ambulance to the Hawarden hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The collision took place around 6:15 pm.
