Getting To Your Christmas Destination Shouldn’t Be An Issue, But Getting Back Home Could Be

December 22, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Undated)– All eyes are on the weather as we head into the Christmas holiday weekend. While fog and drizzle is occurring today (Friday), forecasters say a major storm system currently over the southwestern part of the U.S will head our way this weekend. They say temperatures at the onset will be warm enough for just rain to fall beginning Saturday night and continuing through Sunday and Sunday night. The rain will continue into Christmas Day, however, forecasters say temperatures should drop enough by Monday night for at least some of that to change over to snow, which will continue into Tuesday and Tuesday night.

They add that accumulating snowfall could be possible, but they say it’s still too early to try to pinpoint amounts.

Holiday travelers should be aware of that and stay tuned for later forecasts.
