(Estherville)– Iowa Lakes Community College has been awarded a $240,000 Future Ready Iowa Grant to build what college officials say will be a cutting-edge Commercial Driver’s License training program. They say it will be a big step toward addressing the increasing demand for CDL drivers in the region.
Iowa Lakes Community College will purchase two truck and trailer combinations and a state-of-the-art simulator.
Iowa projects needing more than 10,000 commercial drivers annually between 2020 and 2030.
