New VP At Iowa Lakes Corridor Dev. Corp. Makes Introductions

(Spirit Lake)– The new Vice President of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is making the rounds introducing himself. Trevor Smith, a native of the Iowa Great Lakes and a Spirit Lake High School graduate, has returned to the area after most recently living in Las Vegas…

“I had a different career path. Before going into economic development I was a college basketball coach. I worked with great leaders like Fran McCaffrey and T.J. Otzelberger out in Las Vegas and in junior college ranks, and, you know, had an opportunity to come back home up here to the lakes region, which is something our organization is working towards, is getting more people like that in terms of being raised here, graduating here, going on and then returning back home to help the development around here.”

Smith has been on the job since November 1st.
