Moose First Spotted In NW Iowa Making His Way Into Northern Minnesota

November 22, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Undated) — A moose first spotted and tracked in Iowa is making his way across Minnesota now on its way north. The bull moose was reported first in Rock Valley, Alton, Ruthven and Estherville. Now, a Facebook page has been dedicated to tracking the moose as it travels through Minnesota. There are more than 18-thousand followers on the Central Minnesota Moose on the Loose Facebook page. Last weekend members of the group reported the moose was approaching I-94. Later reports had him in cities on the other side of the interstate, so he made it safely across the usually heavy traffic.
