(Spencer)– A Sioux Rapids woman sustained minor injuries while trying to avoid hitting a deer Friday.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Alexis Amendolare was driving a 2010 Lincoln MKS westbound in the 2400 mile of 490th Street when she swerved to avoid hitting the animal. The vehicle went into the ditch and struck an embankment.
Amendolare was cited for failure to maintain control.
