(Sibley)– No injuries to any students were reported, but the driver of a Sibley-Ocheyedan school bus was hurt when the vehicle collided with a manure spreader late this (Monday) afternoon.
A statement by the school district sent out to parents says the mishap involved school bus route number 66, also known as “Green Frog”. It says the incident took place near 1913 Monroe Avenue.
The statement goes on to say that 11 students were on the bus at the time, and that they were checked over by emergency personnel and were allowed to go home. Some were transported by parents, while others were taken by a secondary bus that was sent to the location.
The statement didn’t mention the extent of injuries to the driver, who wasn’t identified.
