(Spencer)– A traffic stop this past Saturday evening in Clay county resulted in multiple juveniles being cited on drug charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy made the stop around 10:30 pm in the 1000 mile of Highway 18 for a speeding violation. The deputy reported smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle and discovered the occupants were in possession of marijuana and vape pens.
The driver, a 16-year-old from Milford, was cited for speeding, violation of an instruction permit, minor in possession of tobacco, and cited into juvenile court for possession of a controlled substance…marijuana. He was released to the custody of his parents.
Four passengers, a 17-year-old female from Royal, two 16-year-old males from Milford and a 17-year-old male from Fostoria were cited for minor in possession of tobacco and were cited in juvenile court for possession of a controlled substance…marijuana. All were released to the custody of their parents.
