(Spirit Lake)– A natural gas leak this (Tues.) morning has resulted in the temporary closure of Hill Avenue in Spirit Lake between 29th and 36th Streets. People are asked to stay away from that area for the time being.
The Spirit Lake Fire Department and crews from Black Hills Energy are on the scene.
***UPDATE*** The Spirit Lake Fire Department left the scene a little before noon, however officials say Hill Avenue in going to remain closed in that area. No timeframe was given as to when it may re-open. The Southern Hills area remains accessible by using Sunner Avenue and 36th Street.
