(Ames, IA)– Ames-based Summit Carbon Solutions is adding to its pipeline plan in North Dakota. The latest plan shows it would run nearly 13 additional miles in the state, totaling 333 miles there. This comes after their permit was previously denied in that state.
Summit is seeking to build a controversial two-thousand-mile pipeline system in five states for the transportation of captured carbon dioxide from ethanol plants to North Dakota for underground sequestration.
The line is proposed to go through a number of counties in northwest Iowa, including Dickinson.
