(Spirit Lake)– A public hearing conducted by the Dickinson County Board of Adjustment into the proposed development of the RedRock Wind Project got underway Monday evening and will continue the next two evenings. A large crowd filled the community room at the courthouse. An overflow site was set up in an upper level courtroom where the session was live streamed on a large screen T.V.
Joe Crowley of Chicago based Invenergy, the developer of the project, said they plan to erect 89 turbines in portions of Milford, Lloyd and Richland Townships…
Invenergy brought in a number of experts who addressed issues such as marker lights on turbines, flicker, noise, and other concerns. Numerous letters on both sides of the project were then read. Board members will hear from residents on both sides of the issue over the next two nights.
