Trial Set For Man Accused Of Fatally Shooting Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram

(Algona)– The man accused of fatally shooting Algona police officer Kevin Cram last month has pleaded not guilty to 1st degree murder. 43-year-old Kyle Ricke is scheduled to go on trial December 12th in Kossuth County District Court.

Ricke was charged with shooting Cram September 13th as the officer was attempting to serve an arrest warrant on him. He then fled. Ricke was arrested on a warrant around 8:00 pm that evening in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota following an extensive search involving law enforcement agencies from Iowa and Minnesota.
