(Arnolds Park)-Things are about to get spooky at Arnolds Park Amusement Park. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Boji Scare returns to Arnolds Park Amusement Park this weekend.
Matt Linquist with Operations explains how they transform the Park. “We basically take down all the rides and then we put up a bunch of fencing, some tents and then black tarps around it and kind of make a pathway from The Raceway all the way down to The Tipsy House. So, you have to walk through. We have arrows pointed with neon lights and we have people scattered throughout The Park in darker areas, places that you’re not expecting them. So, it kind of gives you a little element of surprise as you’re walking through The Park.”
Fellow employee Tristan Sassler says, they use special effects to enhance the spooky experience. “We have a ton of black lighting to make everything pop a little more for you. We have fog machines, so you’re not going to be able to see very much in some of the areas where we have more of those jump scares for people. We have some new costumes this year that we hope scare people a little more, as well, and just a lot of our animatronics and stuff that you’re really not going to expect and we’ll hopefully scare everybody that’s coming to the event.”
Boji Scare will be offered Friday and Saturday nights through Halloween starting at dark and is recommended for ages 12 years or older. Tickets are $12 per person.
