(Windom, Mn.)- A Windom man is facing a long recovery after a weekend grain bin accident. Travis Muller of Windom was cleaning out the bin on Sunday when his legs got caught in the power sweep auger. He was airlifted to a trauma center in the Twin Cities area where doctors amputated parts of both of his legs. A Caring Bridge page set up for Muller notes that he still faces the possibility of infection and additional amputation during his recovery.
There is also a gofundme page set up for Muller to help cover his expenses. As of noon on Tuesday it had reached over $51,000, showing much community support.
