(Estherville)– The Emmet County Auditor is stepping down. Amy Sathoff will be resigning from her position effective October 23rd, 2023. Her written resignation has been accepted by the Board of Supervisors, setting the wheels in motion to fill the vacancy.
Sathoff says she wants to be closer to family and has accepted the position of Treasurer/Auditor in Faribault county, Minnesota.
The Emmet County Board of Supervisors can either appoint someone to fill the term or hold a special election. They’re expected to take up the matter at their meeting next week.
