(Jackson, Mn.)– City officials in Jackson Saturday shared their frustrations with U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar over an ongoing delay on a runway reconstruction project at the city’s airport. The federal government contributed $9 million for the construction, which is now complete. But there have been ongoing delays in testing that needs to be done on the new concrete runway, and the Jackson Airport remains under a “closed” status on aviation maps. City and county officials also talked to Klobuchar about business, visas, housing, and more during what they say was a constructive meeting Saturday.
