Arnolds Park Council Adopts Clarification To Beer/Wine Consumption Ordinance

September 13, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council Wednesday evening adopted a revised ordinance that limits the serving of beer and wine only to that part of a premises that is licensed to do so. Police Chief Al Krueger says it’s a clarification…

“You can only drink alcoholic beverages, beer and wine, where the licensed premises is. You cannot take it outside the doorway or drink on private property. You have to be inside where the license is permitted.”

Krueger says it fills a loophole that a couple of establishments were taking advantage of…

“We just had a few places where that was being allowed to take place. We just wanted to make it an even playing field for everybody.”

The council voted 4-0, with one member absent, to adopt the revision.
