Southern Minnesota Collision Injures Spirit Lake Woman

(Eagle Lake, Mn.)– A Spirit Lake woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision in southern Minnesota. The Minnesota State Patrol says 77-year-old Blaine Strampe of Spirit Lake was driving a 2005 Buick eastbound on Highway 14 in Blue Earth county, Minnesota. Troopers say a 2008 Pontiac Torrent, driven by 20-year-old Chalese Rohne of Eagle Lake, Minnesota, was also eastbound when the two collided.

A passenger in Strampe’s vehicle, 77-year-old Sheryl Strampe of Spirit Lake, sustained minor injuries but wasn’t taken to a hospital. Rohne was taken by ambulance to to a Mankato hospital.

The collision took place shortly before 2:30 pm.
