(Spencer)– A new attraction at this year’s Clay County Fair will allow fairgoers to get a taste of the latest craft beers and brews in the region. Fair General Manager Jerome Hertel says it’s been dubbed “Taste At The BARn”…
“It’s a craft beer kind of lounge where you can take in some sampling of some different craft brews and craft beverages here on the fairgrounds. It’s in the old Art Barn which is south of the outdoor arena. We also do have a Clay County Fair fair beer also that will be available at that location, too, so that’s kind of a unique thing. Kind of a different thing for us.”
Hertel says the “Taste At The BARn” will be open in the afternoon and early evenings…
“I think the hours are going to be like 1:00 until 7:30 for that location. People will be able to go down there and partake in some of those beverages down at that location. You’ll have to stay right in that area, that location, but we’ve put out some picnic tables and added some seating and things like that in that area also so that people can have an opportunity to grab some food and come over and sit down in the shade.”
Hertel says that while the craft beverages won’t be available for sale at the fair, there will be information available as to where they can be purchased.
