Second Suspect Arrested In Southern Minnesota Shooting

(Truman, MN)– The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says a second suspect wanted for a shooting in Truman is now in custody. An arrest warrant for Matthew Mohamed Davis, age 20 of Owatonna was issued following the July 3rd shooting that wounded four people. He is believed to have been given the gun used in the shooting by another previously arrested suspect, Lavont Shaw, age 19.

The Owatonna man was arrested in Steele County and has been taken back to Martin County to face charges. He faces 12 felonies, including multiple counts of aiding and abetting murder.
