(Okoboji)-It’s time to register for Fall classes at Pearson Lakes Art Center. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Registration is now open for fall classes and workshops at Pearson Lakes Art Center.
Education Director Holly Zinn Hample says, after-school programs will be starting soon. “We offer after-school art classes from September all the way through April. We have our fall season all ready to enroll. So, we have after-school classes for 3 different age groups, and they meet 4-5 pm after school on Thursdays for our K-2nd, on Tuesdays for our 3rd-6th, and the 7th-12th meet on Wednesdays. Each month, for about 3 weeks of that month, we focus on a project, a theme, a media, and create some works around that.”
She adds that a couple of adult programs will be offered this fall. “We have 2 adult workshops. One is in September, and this is Pottery Basics with a native from Spirit Lake, Ben Roti. We also have a Basket Class, and this is for beginner basket weavers.”
The pre-school art program will also be starting soon.
