(Bismarck, N.D.)– Summit Carbon Solutions has submitted revised plans to North Dakota regulators for a carbon capture pipeline. It includes a change in the route, shifting it 10 miles north of the city limits of Bismarck. The North Dakota Public Service Commission recently rejected the company’s original application after public opposition to the route and other concerns. Officials with Summit Carbon solutions say the new application addresses those issues.
That same pipeline would pass through a number of counties in northwest Iowa, including Dickinson. The Iowa Utilities Board will hold a hearing beginning at 10:00 am Tuesday in Fort Dodge to hear from landowners opposed to the pipeline running through their land. That hearing is expected to go on for several weeks.
